the summer day poem

"The summer day" poem talks about the circle of life, the creation of the world and ends with the sadness of death. some people like to stop and think if their is anything waiting for you on the other side, some people call it heaven, others call it the promise land. i think the end of this poem means when it says, "tell me what it is you plan to do with your wild and precious life" is that life is very important, and it does not me you have to stop living, it means you can treasure life for what it is or was, and to try not to have any regrets.
In the begining of the poem, it talks about the swan, the black bear, ......and the grasshopper. i think the narrator used this quote to paint a picture in our heads as we read to give us hints that its talking about the circle of life and how everything around us is precious. even if its as big as a bear or as small as a grasshopper, its still important, and which makes up part of our life. make everymoment count!!
The quote that captures my eyes as a reader was, "i don't know excatly what a pray is....", because it makes you stop and think, why doesnt the narrator know what a pray is. i think the narrator doesnt know how to talk to god without using a prayer, but believes God is around in spirit guiding the narrator through life. this is what "the summer day" poem means to me, its a guideline to the most memorable images in your life.

Very good--be careful with your grammar, spelling and punctuation in your posts. A bit sloppy in those areas, but other than that an excellent post.
